Last Day

2 Days left. At this time in 2 days we'll be driving to the Airport in Calgary. Prepared? Not really. Anyhow, after today, we'll both be done work. Its hard to believe after 2.5 years for Lori and 5.5 years for myself that neither of us are working.


The tent got a dry run last night. Look at that beast in all its glory. As usual, the MEC symbol shines out.

We dared to try and cram our packs as well. Its going to be a tight fit. Unfortunately, Lori wouldn't let me take a picture of her with the pack on.

... is what we are. We should have Mountain Equipment Co-op sponsorship for our trip.

Less than 7 days to go and we're both getting pretty excited. As you can see by the piles of gear we're also close to fully prepared.

For those that were curious, here is our flight itinerary. I've only put in flights, so where you see us leaving from somewhere we didn't arrive is a land leg. Some of the legs look terribly painful.

• May 04 - Kathmandu to Cairo (via Bangkok, London)
• May 27 - Cairo to Edinburgh (via London)
• Jun 12 - Edinburgh to Calgary (via London)
